For decades, Hollywood has represented African-American men in a negative light. Pimps and drug dealers to thugs and brokers skirts, representation of blacks in the media have led to numerous stereotypes that have ultimately determined how many view an entire group of people.

Moreover, stereotypical representations of black men, have even led young African American Americans to be considered in a negative light. For many young African American, negative stereotypes perpetuated by mainstream media, only reinforces the negative views of them, because the black man who found a negative stereotype surrounding much.

On seeing black men as drug dealers and deadbeat fathers leads some to believe that blacks are not real unless they live a life of negativity. The representation of African American men in films like Waiting to Exhale and Diary of a Mad Black woman has moved many Black women to believe there is no man Black good of all, and that those who are not good people are the reason for the confusion that sometimes exist in Black relationships.

However, two upcoming movies, The Pursuit of Happyness starring Will Smith and son Jaden, and Diary of first attempt at a tired man by the time Black filmmaker Tim Alexander to change stereotypes in describing black men in the perspective of a brother.

Role of Will Smith in The Pursuit of Happiness is based on the true story of Chris Gardner, a single dad who becomes his life to a homeless billionaire.

High by a single mother, Gardner knew at an early age wanted to be a constant presence in the life of his son. Despite it lacked a lot of goods and material wealth, his mother, Bettye Jean Gardner, preached to his children who might one day be a millionaire.

After a passage in the military, Gardner went to San Francisco to pursue a career as a salesman of medical supplies. With barely enough to support his girlfriend and her son, Gardner's life changed dramatically when he met an agent Ferrari driving Stocker, who made $ 80,000 per month.
